The Power of Connection in Midlife: Step Forward and Make a Wish

If You Could Make A Wish...

What would you wish for today?

More connection? Stronger relationships? Better health? More joy? Financial freedom? More time?

Perhaps, the chance to leave a legacy?

Or maybe... it’s the courage to finally begin the thing that’s been tugging at your heart for too long ...that business, book, or podcast. What is that thing tugging at your heart?

Most of us wait too long because we think it is too late and we are too old? But are we? I say hell no! I learned that an incredible woman, Edith Eger, wrote her first book, The Gift, when she was 90 years old! So, I ask you, are you really too old?

In June, I went on a hike in one of my favorite places in the mountains. We found a dried dandelion, stood in the sunshine, and blew our wishes out into the breeze. It was simple. Magical. Empowering. Childlike. Freeing. Full of love, laughter and aha moments!

This friend and I have been friends for over 30 years. We’ve walked through some really hard things together, as well as some truly amazing ones. We've raised our kids side by side. We've traveled together - including a couple of unforgettable trips to Hawaii.

In fact, one of the most powerful moments of our friendship happened on a hike to a summit in Kauai, which I share in my book Step Forward, and on my podcast. When we reached the top, hoping for a breathtaking view, only to be met by thick fog - there was incredible disappointment. And in that moment, the beauty wasn't in what we saw - it was in being there and experiencing something truly magical and powerful!

The presence, the quiet, and the miracle we shared with awe.

All of these years later, we have found ourselves on a different hike.

It is a different season. Different stage of life. Reminiscing on that foggy Hawaiian summit, and reflecting on all we've lived through since then. We're not the same women we were back then - but the connection is deeper, the soul bond stronger! And still, we're walking alongside each other. Encouraging, supporting, reminding each other to keep stepping forward.

This photo? It holds all of that. A special space. A moment in time. The friendship. The growth. The grief, grit, and the grace. And the sacred gift of long-haul, soul-level connection.

In that moment blowing on a huge dried dandelion and making a wish like two kids, I was reminded that the biggest shifts in life often begin with the smallest gestures:

A pause.
A whisper in your soul.
A wish.

And maybe, just maybe, that whisper in this second half of life is calling you to rise. To rediscover who you are. To become.

What if you said yes to it?

The Power of Soul-Level Connection

Connection matters. And deep connection matters greatly. Not the highlight-reel kind. But the real, soul-level kind - the kind that reminds you who you are and what still matters most!

The hike, a friend of over 30 years, a quiet breath, and a wish... all of it... reminded me that connection is not just beautiful... it’s powerful.

Connection heals.
Connection allows us to dream and be.
Connection guides us forward.

So many women I work with come to me not because they lack vision or drive, but because they feel disconnected: from their voice, from their purpose, from the version of themselves they once knew. The one who used to dream. The one who used to believe in herself and her dreams.

Sometimes, all it takes to reconnect is a single moment of stillness and truth. A moment when you stop, listen, and let the wish rise. A spark begins to flicker...the REDLO™ Way

This is why I created REDLO™. It isn’t just a method. It’s a movement to:

Reclaim your confidence.
Embrace your voice.
Define your path.
Lead with courage.
Own your worth and who you are now in this season of life!

Where are you on this journey? Because the second half of life isn’t about shrinking. It’s about becoming.

If you’re feeling that nudge to reconnect, to rise, to speak with confidence, to do something bold and declare what's next - I see you.

What Is Your Wish Today?

Whatever it is... let it guide you forward.

Reclaim. Embrace. Define. Lead. Own.

💫 This is what we do in REDLO™ - we rise, we reconnect, we lead with courage.

If you’re ready to stop shrinking and start becoming, CLICK HERE to get on the waitlist for the REDLO WOMEN CIRCLE starting in October or CLICK HERE to join us in Zoom on October 9th @ 11 am PST to learn more about it!
