Stop Trying to be Like Everyone Else Online!

Ever feel like you "have to" DO all the right things, BE all the right things, and SAY all the right things?

We do this, don't we? Been there, done that! But here's the plot twist…

If you're always doing what everyone else is doing (or what everyone else 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌𝒔 you 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 be doing), how will you ever stand out? How will you share who you really are?

After years of people pleasing, learning this the hard way, and sharing it in my book 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝, here's what I know for sure:

Embrace the quirks. The imperfections. The goofy way you say things and do things. Your personality is a strength and asset, not a flaw or something to hide.

𝟐. 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐬𝐨 𝐁𝐄 𝐚 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧!

Although I was a skeptical adopter, I now love AI for many things…strategy, planning, brainstorming, research, and creating fun photos. But I don't let it speak FOR me. I am ecouraging you to use your human voice. Share your human ideas and thoughts. Let your goofiness and awesomeness shine through.

𝟑. 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐈 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮

I am the first to admit that any AI tool is awesome for correcting typos. Lord knows I am the QUEEN of them! I edit and still master the art of making numerous typos😂 That said, what is your style? Think about how would YOU say it.

I used to have a funny saying: "I'll do it in a jiffy-minute." It literally made no logical sense. I smile now because it is imperfectly me. I have also been known to say, "Awesome sauce." Those are fun quirky parts of my personality- not flaws. They are what make me, me 𝐀𝐍𝐃 they are what make you, you also!

Be memorable!

Be willing to SPEAK UP and STAND OUT - your way! Especially, with your goofy and unique way of explaining something. If you don't, you will just sound like a regurgitated version of everyone else. Every other online guru, influencer, those who want to be or an AI iteration.

My book, 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 is about 10 shoes as metaphors. They are the 10 shoes I needed to step into in order to step forward with my life. I help others do it too. Goofy? Maybe. Different? For sure! I took a risk. My idea. My creativity. My imagination. What woman doesn't relate to stepping into different shoes?

So STOP working so hard to polish yourself into generic perfection. It’s so boring!
